THE PAPER ON 3G TECHNOLOGY
ABSTRACT
Third Generation(3G) wireless Technology is a recently proposed open industry for larger distance local wireless communication of mobile devices .3G wireless networks are capable of transferring data at speeds of up to 384Kbps. Their Average speeds ranges between 64Kbps and 384Kbps. The 3G system is both complex and full-featured, with many components and layers of abstraction. It includes the specification of the Radio subsystem (spectrum), the baseband features, packet formats, the link management and profiles for specificapplications and services while new technology provides its users with increased possibilities, it can also provide with power weapons. Recently, the public has started to pay attention to the need for privacy. The mechanisms for authentification and encryption are built on symmetric-key cryptography in 3G.
This paper also gives an introduction to its previous versions( such as 1G,2G,2.5G) and also to its future Prospects(4G and 5G).Their abilities are compared with the current version(ie..3G) and some future predictions have been made. The main Advantages of 3G include the need for higher data rate services, such as high-speed wireless Internet access and packet-based data transfer and more.
